This design was inspired by a small tin box that my grandmother owned in the 1930’s in Spain. When she moved to Ireland in the 1950’s, she brought this tin box with her and still keeps her pencils in it to this day.

As an homage to my grandmother and my Spanish roots, I have redesigned the illustration in the style of a Vintage Ski Poster. My first design is of the Ski resort of Candanchú in the Spanish Pyrenees. This is where my grandmother used to ski in the 1940’s, and later where me and my siblings learned to ski as children. I have also added a design for Chamonix in France and there is the option to customise the text.

Este diseño se inspiró de una pequeña caja de lata que tenía mi abuela en los años 30 en España. Cuando emigró a Irlanda en la década de 1950, ella trajo la caja de lata con ella, y aún conserva sus lápices en ella hasta el día de hoy.

Como homenaje a mi abuela y mis raíces españolas, he rediseñado la ilustración de la caja al estilo de un Póster Vintage de Esquí. Mi primer diseño es de la estación de esquí de Candanchú en los Pirineos. Aquí es donde mi abuela solía esquiar en la década de 1940, y luego donde mis hermanos y yo aprendimos a esquiar cuando éramos niños.
